Skin Therapies PRE & POST Treatment Protocol

PRE CARE and PREP CONFIRMATION REQUIRED FROM CLIENT

When having an O Cosmedics Pro DermalTM treatment it is important to advise and confirm any of the following:

For ALL Treatments

Active Cold Sores
Open Lesions
Infections
Uncontrolled Diabetes
Lupus & Auto Immune Diseases
Retin A – cease two weeks prior to reduce excessive peeling
Roaccutane – Twelve Months
Blood infections
Pregnant and breast feeding
Skin Cancer in the treatment area
Undergoing chemotherapy or immune therapy
Sunbaking and Sun beds are to be avoided the entire duration of the treatment regime
Unprepared skin. For some treatments you will be required to be on certain products for minimum of 2 weeks prior to your treatment. Your skin mentor will advise you should this be a request.
Be cautious with photosensitive medications. Please advise and revise any medications you are taking, including supplements prior to each treatment.

If you answer yes to any of these you will need to notify your Skin Mentor prior to your appointment. We reserve the right to not treat you and reschedule your appointment should you arrive and not be eligible for the treatment due to any contraindications.

POST CARE REQUIRED FROM CLIENT

Your recovery time and depth of peeling will depend on your skin condition and the chosen peel. Your skin may become very hot, red and peel significantly. Your Skin Care Specialist will discuss with you what you may experience and the aftercare.
Avoid direct sun for 5-10 days. Mineral Pro SPF 30+ is mandatory and must be reapplied every 2 hours.
Avoid Waxing/Hair Removal for 14 days.
Avoid peels, IPL, Laser and Cosmeceutical Facial Treatments for 14 days that are not prescribed by clinic.
Avoid exercise, heated yoga, saunas, spas and getting over heated for 24 hours.
Do not pick, scratch or peel the skin.
No exfoliating products, AHA’s, Vitamin A products, Retin A scrubs, or enzymes post treatment for 5 days.
Do not use harsh or scratching washcloths for three days after the peel. Apply O gentle antioxidant cleanser to clean hands for application.

PRE Dermapen 4 Skin Needling & Collagen Induction Therapy

Dermapen4 Collagen Induction therapy PATIENT PRE-TREATMENT REQUIREMENT

Based on your areas of concern, your DermapenWorld Authorised Treatment Provider will recommend a series of treatment in conjunction with O Cosmedics home care products for optimal results and maintenance.

If you are experiencing any of the following conditions or concerns, on or around the treatment area, you will need to let your practitioner know prior to treatment:

Active Psoriasis
Active Herpes simplex (cold sores)
Scleroderma
Open lesions
Skin cancer
Undisclosed/unusual/Undiagnosed moles
Acne vulgaris stage IV
Warts
Bacterial/fungal infections
Undiagnosed solar keratosis
Haemophilia (or other blood clotting disorders)
Active vitiligo
History of keloid scars
Active lupus erythematosus
Active collagen vascular disease

Also, inform your practitioner if you are (or planning to get) pregnant, have any cosmetic tattooing, have recently experienced any chronic liness or are undergoing major medical care.

If you are doubt regarding any health condition or medications that you may take, always seek medical advice from your physician.

Certain health conditions, medications, supplements and lifestyle factors may affect a Dermapen 4™ procedure.

All patients are required to complete a Dermapen consultation form prior to treatment for assessment from a Authorised Treatment Provider.

Patients should prepare and prime their skin for at least weeks prior to treatment with prescribed O Cosmedics.
Your practitioner will prescribe a customised skin solution for pre-op, post-op and ongoing maintenance.

COMFORT

Your Dermapen 4 Authorised Treatment Provider will take all steps to ensure total comfort during for your Dermapen 4 procedure.

If at any point you feel discomfort, please inform your practitioner immediately.

PROTECTION & SAFETY

Your Dermapen 4™ treatment only uses sterile, single-use consumables throughout the procedure, ensuring complete

health and safety of you and our staff performing the procedure today.

TREATMENT DURATION

Please allow a minimum of 45 minutes for your Dermapen 4™ clinical treatment including preparation, combination therapies and post-care.

POST-TREATMENT INFORMATION

During the skin healing process. minor itching, hives. flaking, or redness may appear. If symptoms persist please call vour Dermapen'" practitioner.
Do not pick, squeeze or agitate during the recovery period

Please avoid the following activities for at least 2-5 days following a Dermapen™ clinical procedure:

Direct ultra violet exposure sun and solariums
Intensive cardio, exercise or gymnasium regimens
Excessively hot showers. bathing. spas or sauna
Spray or self-tanning
Occlusive comecogenic make up -

Please avoid the following activities for at least 2 weeks following a Dermapen™ clinical procedure:

Further clinical treatments not prescribed by your Dermapen practitioner including. but not limited
Microdermabrasion, laser. intense pulsed light, chemical peels, muscle relaxant injections
Swimming in chlorinated pools or the ocean
Tattooing (including cosmetic tattooing

Please avoid the use of skin care products containing any of the following active resurfacing ingredients for up to 5 days following a Dermapen™ clinical procedure:

Alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) (including but not limited to) alycolic. lactic or malic acid
Beta hydroxy acid (BHA) including salicylic acid
Benzov peroxide
Retinoids (including but not limited to) tretinoin, retinol and retinaldehyde
High levels of Kolic or azelaic acid
Alcohol (including but not limited to) isopropyl alcohol/de-natured alcohol/rubbing alcohol
For O Cosmedics Products, please avoid Brightening Serum, Retinols, Vit C + BHA, 3 in 1 Fruit Peel, Multifunctional Peel, Exfoliating Cleanser, Corrective Cleanser & Peel, Vit C & Hemp Seed Oil for 4 days post treatment, and 4 days post the Peel & LED.

Safe for use post Dermapen 4 Treatment for the first 12-24 hours:

DP Dermaceuticals Cover Recover is to be applied as a daily makeup (travel size gifted with treatment) and used until empty, day and night. This is your SPF.
Use of Clini Prep, frequently (gifted at first Skin Needling Session).
